As part their ongoing Open Happiness campaign, Coca Cola have been running the Coke Creatures website which supports the ongoing TV ad. The TV ad (below) features a collection of weird creatures which sit in a organ singing as Coke is squirted into their mouths.
Video - Coke Creatures Ad "Yeah yeah yeah, La la la"
Coke Creatures is effectively a replication of the organ from the ad, using the numbered keys on the users keyboard to play. Aside from other content such as videos, an interview with Calvin Harris (responsible for the music), wallpapers, screensavers etc, there is also a widget allow everyone to input the Coke Creatures organ on their Facebook (below).

OXO Factor.com Competition
It's that time again, the X-Factor is nearly upon us, and now it's the turn of the the viewing public and their families to show us what they've got. OXO have launched the OXO Factor competition, giving one family the chance to have their self made ad appear on TV on the night of the X-Factor final, as well as £10,000.
To tie in with the launch of the competition the famous cube is undergoing a redisign and will become 'X' shaped (apparently allowing it to crumble easier)! Finally someone answered my letter!!

Evian Roller Babies Advert
Personally I find this slightly terrifying (Ally McBeal has scared me for life), but everyone's raving about it and it is kind of cool. On youTube the original Evian Roller Babies Advert video currently stands at 3,349,133 views since the beginning of this month, and looks set to continue.
The ad has been accompanied by a website jam packed with interviews, videos, making of's, music, and loads of other goodies. The website is www.evianliveyoung.com/babies.
Enjoy!

Eternal Moonwalk: Michael Jackson tribute
A little late to post about the death of Michael Jackson as I was on holiday in Las Vegas (with what seemed like every casino blasting Jackson hits onto the strip) I felt like I had to write something, and this is the best of what I've seen.
EternalMoonwalk.com gives fans the opportunity to pay their respects in the best way possible by Moonwalking of course, the videos are then joined together to the sound of Jacko's music. Also I know there are some people out there who like me cannot moonwalk to save their lives, and so users can also find a 'How to Moonwalk' video on the site too.

GM Spoof: GM Retardation advert
Last week I posted about the new GM advert (GM: Reinvention - New ad for New GM) entitled Reinvention. The commercial dedicated itself to ensuring that the public does not lose trust in the brand, following the news that they were filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Well... following this I was highlighted to the fact that there was a well edited spoof circulating shown below.
Video - GM Spoof: GM Retardation commercial
Supporting the spoof ad is an GM Retardation website exact replica of the new GM Reinvention website, obviously tweaked as expected highlighting users to fictitious Blogs, Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook accounts, with copy such as: "Pretend like you can be friends with us. We'll pretend too, and then we'll close down your dads car dealership".

Skinny Blonde Campaign Uses Online to Bring Daisy to Life
Do you remember those crazy pens you used to get with the scantily clad women standing there in a bikini, and when you click the pen their clothes disappear... no?... erm, me neither. However luckily for all those Australian beer drinkers out there, Aussie beer brand Skinny Blonde, which was launched earlier in the year, does.
As part of a new campaign for the brand a website has been created which mirrors the unique feature of the beer's label, in that the 1950s-style pin-up called Daisy's top disappears as the bottle warms up.
Upon entering the site you are greeted by six 'Skinny Blondes' of which you must select one, then with a handy thermometer, you turn up the heat until your chosen girl is so hot that she, like the label feels compelled to revel herself.
Video - Skinny Blonde Staring Game
There is also a rather interesting staring game on the site which is a lot harder than it first looks. Don't believe me? Try it yourself!

BooneOakley.com - Agency Website on Youtube
This is quite an original and cool idea from the US which caught my eye on the bloglines today. BooneOakley.com are a full service agency from New York, who have decided to break from the norm and upload their whole website, in the form of a website with embedded links through to their various pages.
Pic 1 - BooneOakley.com
Pic 2 - BooneOakley.com
Personally I think its a good idea, however the fact that anyone can embed you whole website, anywhere they want could either be a brilliant move, or massive mistake. I think that only time will tell, but it's certainly got a lot of people talking... well over the last couple of days at least. You can view the website here - BooneOakley.com

HSBC Rugby Lions Training Ads 2009
Tomorrow (Saturday 30th May) sees the start of the 2009 British & Irish Lions Rugby tour of South Africa, and so this week has seen the release of a brilliant series of ads by partner HSBC. The ads sees the players taking it in turns to train the lions of the Savannah in the skills they would need on the pitch, passing, tackling etc (seen below).
The ads featured in this week's BestadsonTV podcast, follows the launch of HSBC's online campaign to promote and build support for its sponsorship earlier in the month. This involved an tool on the British and Irish Lions website that allowed fans to add their names to a giant Lions shirt that will be taken on tour with the team.
Enjoy!
Gillette: How To Shave Your Groin!!
Yes this post will probably be as weird and uncomfortable as it sounds, but I'm going to go ahead with it anyway. Gillette in the US have realised a new campaign based on the correct way to shave various areas of your body, including... you got it... your groin (Shown below).
The series of videos are hosted on the Gillette 'How to bodyshave' website, and includes tips on general body shaving including head, chest, armpits and so on. Although can also be seen on the Gillette YouTube channel which is worth looking at if only for the range of comments and debate around the videos.
I think despite the uncomfortable and wincing feeling you'd get when thinking about 5 razor shape blades pressed against your family jewels, this is providing a service which fits very nicely with the brand. Plus it gives them the chance to have a bit of fun with a subject most blokes would shy away from, for example this lovely screenshot (above) taken by David Kiefaber over at Ad Freak.com. Enjoy!

TimeToConsider.co.uk - Mysterious Poster Campaign hits the Capital... again!
This is a slightly random one for me, mainly because I'm not a huge fan of surprises. This latest mystery outdoor campaign of which all agencies involved are apparently sworn to secrecy (according to Twitter) is no different, and although I'm sure it will drive us all crazy, will, like the Times 'Mystery Black Poster Campaign', get us all blogging and tweeting like no-bodies business. The posters consist of some rather stunning although controversial images (shown below), with a very 'Dove' (Unilever rather than the bird) like question posed to the onlooker. Directing people simply to the website 'www.timetoconsider.co.uk' when they are greeted with further images, and an opportunity to comment with their views.
Time to consider - Hunting 'Birthright or Brutality?'
Time to consider - Chickens 'Justifiable Cruelty?'
Time to consider - Old Man 'Pity or Pitiful?'
Time to consider - Tanks 'Deterrent or Provocation?'
It will be interesting to see once again how this plays out, especially as every day more and more of us are becoming further established within the blogging and social communities of which we integrate within our everyday routine, as well as the tools and services available to us to help us do this. Will this create the same stir as the Times campaign did? I don't know, but it will be fun finding out.

Philips Carousel Short Film - Cinema 21:9 LCD TV
This is a very nice short film by Philips for the launch of their new Cinema 21:9 LCD TV (shown below), which can be fully appreciated and interacted with on their new website www.philips.co.uk/cinema. The movie, entitled Carousel, directed by Adam Berg, quite appropriately lasts 2 minute 19 second and is filmed in one continuous tracking shot.
The interactive film on the site allows the user to explore the world of film seeing parts of the film through the eyes of the director, and the special effects and lighting experts.

Mail Media Centre new website
It has been a while now since I have planned any direct mail in any of my campaigns, my clients now are fully in the brand arena which leaves little room for it. I do however still like to keep up to date on all media channels at my disposal, as you never know when you might need them... so queue the new website brought to us by the Royal Mail, the Mail Media Centre.
This is a neat hub for all thing DM with pretty much everything you could possibly ask for, including a detailed knowledge centre, a slick creative showcase, and planning and evaluation tips/ techniques.
One thing in particular which caught my attention about the site was the way in which I found it. Playing on DM's ability to engage all of the senses of the recipient the Mail Media Centre mailed out gel heat pads which when heated revealed their message.
This was combined with tip-on's in the industry mags, as well as a coverwrap in Campaign all with a heat sensitive hand print, again revealing a MMC message when warmed up. You can visit the new site here: www.mmc.co.uk

L'Oreal - 'Every mum is worth it' campaign
This is quite a nice one from L'Oreal Paris thinking of our Mother's during the countdown to this Mother's Day. The 'Every mum is worth it' campaign centres around the website and offers a whole host of goodies, ideas, and sentimental ways in which you can let you Mum know you care.
The homepage features messages/ videos from visitors within a collage, including some dropped in by the L'Oreal celebrates including Andie MacDowell, Claudia Schiffer, Jane Fonda, and Milla Jovovich. With other features including competitions to exclusive L'Oreal screenings to Momma Mia, or goody bags, as well as plenty of gift ideas.

Virgin Mobile - Right Music Wrongs
Virgin Mobile Australia have launched their new 'Right Music Wrongs' campaign, which finally gives users the chance to vote and nominate the music which has traumatised their lives, and polluted their eardrums. The campaign has kicked off with the trail of Vanilla Ice, and a full video apologising for the release of his hit song 'Ice Ice Baby'.
Virgin Mobile have also included a manifesto outlining exactly what they are trying to achieve, as well as chart of 'Music Wrongs' including such pop favourites as Timmy Mallet, The Crazy Frog, and David Hasselhoff.
I really like this campaign, its a nice idea which aligns Virgin Mobile with music pretty seamlessly. You can view the site here: 'Right Music Wrongs'. Enjoy!!

New Milk Matters Cravendale Campaign
As a big fan of the random humour, captivating websites and creative I am very happy to see that Cravendale are back with a new campaign. The campaign sees the return of the wacky humour, with a redesigned website featuring all of our favourite characters, including the cow, cyclist, and pirate.
The campaign broke this week with a Brand republic reporting a £10 million campaign which launched this week with the first of three executions. The new look Milk Matters website includes everything from Games, Downloadable content, Previous Campaigns, and a 'Make the Tea' function.

Zodiac Race - Onitsuka Tiger campaign
This is the latest campaign by Japanese brand Onitsuka Tiger, to celebrate their 60th birthday. 'The Legend of the Zodiac Race' is the main premise behind the 60th birthday celebrations, which takes the form of the Legend of the Jade Emperor of ancient Japan holding a race to decide the order of the Zodiac calendar, 13 animals competing for 12 places.
The race takes place on a funky Onitsuka Tiger trainer shaped island with many different obstacles for the competing animals to overcome. The island of which can be explored in full on the website, along with a host of other interesting features. These include the history and making of the 'The Legend of the Zodiac Race' (shown below), a Zodiac calculator, a very cool '60 years in 60 seconds' movie, and much more.
This is a very funky website, which echoes everything users would expect from the brand, it is a smooth site with a fantastic array of colours, with the content ensuring users will be on there for a while... well I definitely was!
Enjoy!

Honda Fit Vs. Fuelivores – Campaign
This is the campaign by Honda - 'Honda Fit Vs. Fuelivores', for the new Fit, set in the style of a Mad Max style futuristic movie, in which we see our hero the Honda Fit, battle against the evil mutant Fuelivores. The user must choose a side, and battle their way through various levels, and challenges to unlock content, and continue through the movie.
This is a well designed smooth site, with simple concept, and reasonably addictive content. The features of the car, all explained in a tongue in cheek way, which somehow are a benefit to you in this epic battle of good and evil. There is also plenty of additional features to the site offering users, free downloads, the ability to share unlocked movies, and explore the car in a lot of depth.

Pepsi - Dear Mr. President: Refresh Everything
As a nice way to enforce their brand values in a way which is current and in the front of everyone's mind, Pepsi have created their 'Refresh Everything' website giving users the chance to upload a message for the new President in any way they want to.
Pepsi say on the site, that there will be a number of fun experiences to allow people to engage with their 'Refresh Everything' guiding spirit, starting with the opportunity to 'speak your mind as a new president prepares to refresh the nation'. A number of celebrities have already got involved including Lady Gaga, Eva Longoria, and Will.I.Am.

Follow the Virgin - Latest Argent Provocateur campaign
This is the latest Argent Provocateur campaign to arouse our senses, and apparently their 'most fabulous collection ever', launched with the help of a 'scandalous' new website.
Upon entering the new 'scandalous' site you journey through a dark castle, making decisions in an attempt to 'Save the Virgin'. Throughout this interactive online movie, you are made to face many challenges including scantily clad women, dark corridors, Peaches Geldof to name but a few.
This is a well put together site, and a great way of showcasing the collection. The PR, however has been mainly focused around the decision of appointing Geldof to the campaign, and only time will tell as to whether this has a positive or negative effect.

Retro gaming in style
Russian clothes stores Provokator have recently launched a quirky site celebrating its customers love for fashion and retro games. The user is given the option to play Frogger, Arcanoid, or Space Invaders, renamed for the purpose of the site as Toadder, Jeansoid, and Cosmoflight.
It is an interesting way in allowing customers to interact with the clothes displayed on the site, with the ability to pause the games at any stage to find out more about an item of clothing and even add it to your basket. There is also the added bonus of the three leaders at the top of the scoreboards being rewarded with email discount vouchers for the stores at the end of every month.
It is a really engaging website which certainly breaks away from the norm, it is a simple site to navigate and is addictive enough to keep users coming back for more.
