Samsung Mobile Explorers Virals - Vancouver 2010 Winter Games

Here are are a couple of videos made to promote the Samsung sponsorship of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games (and there we were thinking they had abandoned their weekly viral seeding). The videos are supposed to represent two warm-up performances recorded in Vancouver last month by Sumsung’s Mobile Explore.

More details about the campaign can be found at www.samsung.com/vancouver2010

Update:

Microsoft - 'Megawoosh' Biggest Waterslide Stunt Viral

I have just seen the latest online video 'viral' for Microsoft project management tools. The video features Bruno Kammerl, an Austrian engineer, who has apparently built the largest waterslide on the planet. Shown below we see Bruno flying down the side of a hill launching off a ramp, and into a paddling pool.

Similarly to the Samsung BaaStuds Sheep LED video, I'm sure this will face the whole is it real, isn't it real debate, but either way it's still pretty impressive... and I want a go!

Samsung - Camera Trick Challenge Revealed

This is an update to a post put up 3 weeks ago regarding a Samsung viral for their new I8910 HD phone, using its 8 megapixel camera that can record and output video in HD format. The Challenge: The Video was shot in one take, with no post production or special effects of any kind. Everything we see in the above video was apparently done "in-camera". Samsung's challenge to us is to figure out how they did it. The Original video is below:

Well now Samsung have released the follow up video explaining all, including some amusing answers they received from the YouTube community.

Samsung - YouTube HD Camera Trick Challenge

As you may have guessed the last post was to demonstrate that Samsung are not new to seeding the odd viral or two. Using this to their advantage they have challenged the users of YouTube to unravel the mystery of their latest video (Scooby Doo style). The idea is simple, the below clip was shot on the new Samsung I8910 HD phone, using its 8 megapixel camera that can record and output video in HD format.

The Challenge: The Video was shot in one take, with no post production or special effects of any kind. Everything we see in the above video was apparently done "in-camera". Samsung's challenge to us is to figure out how we did it. Their only hint: it's worth watching in HD!

How very mysterious!!

Samsung - Gadgets Grand Prix Viral

As you may be aware, Samsung have a history of seeding mysterious virals by the dozen (well not quite that many, but you get the idea). Anyway here is the latest edition, a stop motion stationary race around the desk, entitled GADGETS GRAND PRIX set to "Ready steady go" by Paul Oakenfold. Pretty cool, plus we hear that a miniature Vin Diesel is driving the Digital Camera.

Samsung - BaaaStuds Sheep LED Viral

This is another viral from Samsung for their LED range, entitled 'BaaaStuds'. It sees a whole heap of sheep on a hill in Wales, being herded in different ways in order to create some very interesting images. Sounds crazy, but is looks pretty cool.

Samsung UltraTouch '38 Cute Animals' Viral

Ever wondered if there was a way in which you could entertain a baby animal with a mobile screen, if so this could be the video for you. To show of the high quality screen of their latest phone, the Samsung UltraTouch, Samsung have seeded this video showing a handful of cute animals using the screen for their own benefits. I've also discovered this is impossible to watch without smiling.

38 Cute Animals, 1 Cool Screen, 8 Different Uses

I have to say my personal favourite is #2,346 Evil Hedgehog Control screen.

Samsung "Follow your instinct" Video

Samsung and digital shop Fjord have launched an interactive video series using
YouTube's new "annotations". The viewer is invited to choose their own adventure,
deciding the fate of a young urbanite armed only with his trusty Samsung Instinct phone.

This is executed in a smooth way, giving users something they haven't seen before
on YouTube, and so although we will have to wait and see if it is a hit with the
desired audience, it certainly gives advertisers something to play around with.
