Augmented Reality DVD for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

Okay so we've seen creative uses of Augmented Reality on phones, magazines, packaging, and now DVD's. For the DVD release of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, we will see what is believed to be the first DVD and Blu-ray to use the technology offering the viewer something a little above and beyond the movie alone.

By placing the the packaging at your webcam a 3D puzzle will be launched, which when solved unlocks a whole host of augmented reality features involving the films hero Optimus Prime (as shown above). “The Optimus Prime Experience” will be located at the following here upon the release of the DVD: “The Optimus Prime Experience”

I just rented Transformers on DVD last night and I thought it was entertaning, but not as interesting as the first installment. I think Shia did a great job, but Megan Fox was a liability. The voices of the robots were really cool and the special effects were amazing. I hope the next version is better plot-wise.
